Using Your God-Given Gifts & Talents

By: Brenda McDaniel

God gives each one of us many gifts and talents. Each of us are unique and special, no one is like you. We are unique in appearance , how we live and deal with life. And our skills/talents, if we try can be learned or developed to the ultimate potential. Such as in the arts, music, science, writing etc.. These talents/skills can also be used for God’s purposes.

God’s gifts can be such things, as being a good listener or speaker. Which can lead to becoming a preacher, teacher or counselor. Or such things as having empathy/understanding of others needs and problems. Which might lead you to be a social worker.

In many ways these gifts and talents are as I said are God given.  And can be used for the betterment of society as a whole. Or helping those in need. Such as using your gifts of empathy/understanding to encourage others. Or educate the hurting, needy or poor people. To help them find better ways of dealing with pain or disappointment. Better ways of living their lives. Lives of faith, hope and love. Faith in the Lord, hope for tomorrow. And love of God, others and themselves.

And possibly I can make a difference with my, well written, writing, poetry and articles. About the many blessings, miracles and answered prayers during my lifetime. So believe in yourself, look for your special talents and gifts to help this hurting world. For you are a unique/special/loved person especially in the eyes of God!!

King James Version: Proverbs 20-7: The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.
