Father’s Day

By: Brenda Mcdaniel

My dad is gone,

And left us alone

Without him, but he is home.

In WWII, he was a Navy man,

And using his hands, as they land,

Pulling pilots from planes that burned.

But, he always yearned,

And he did learn.

To serve his country proudly,

At home, the crowds praised them loudly.

They defeated the foe,

And took away the world’s woe.

Dad fought his own war too,

And he was one, who

Fought till he won,

With the help of God’s Son!!!
